The European Context: Impact of COVID-19 on the mental health sector
The COVID-19 pandemic is global in nature, putting strain on the physical and mental well-being of populations around the world. Before delving into the Irish Context, we will be joined by Dr Daniel Chisholm, Programme Manager for Mental Health at the WHO Regional Office for Europe and Claudia Marinetti, Director of Mental Health Europe to look at the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health and on mental health service delivery across Europe. This webinar will explore the common challenges faced by mental health service users and service providers due to the global pandemic, as well as the steps being taken to address these challenges, in an effort to identify promising practices from other countries that may be relevant in an Irish context.
