The Employment: Mental Health Initiatives in Ireland

In Ireland, people with mental health difficulties have the highest rate of unemployment of any other disability group. This is despite the importance of employment for people with mental health difficulties being well recognised within policies and among stakeholders.
During this week’s episode we hear from experts about the current projects running both locally and nationally for mental health and employment.
We would like to once again thank this week’s guest speakers for taking the time to share with us all about their work:
– Jeanne McDonagh, Open Doors Initiative
– Marie McCarthy, EmployAbility Cork
– Eric Frost, EmployAbility Cork
– John McCusker, HSE Mental Health Division
