The Gender Context: Women’s Mental Health Impact
While COVID-19 has been challenging for many, how we are impacted will vary from person to person.
Recent studies have indicated that the current crisis has had a significant effect on the mental health and wellbeing of women in Ireland. A survey conducted by the National Women’s Council of Ireland found that 55% of women had “less time than usual” to look after their mental health and wellbeing during COVID-19.
We would like to once again thank this week’s guest speakers for taking the time to share with us all about their work: –
Aoife Price, European Disability Forum
– Louise O’Leary, St. Patrick’s Mental Health Service and the Women’s Mental Health Network
