A Personality Disorder
What is a personality disorder, what are some of the key signs, and what kinds of care and treatments are available. It is a type of mental health condition in which a person has an unhealthy and enduring pattern of thinking, functioning and behaving.
There are a range of symptoms, some of the most common are being overwhelmed by negative feelings, avoiding others, finding it hard to manage emotions, engaging in self-harm, having difficulty maintaining relationships and losing contact with reality.
Just as everyone’s personality is unique, each person’s experience of the disorder will be unique.
Remember that recovery is possible and, if you are going through a disorder, you are not alone.
